Dogs and a Corpse

Jeff and I were at an intersection of a city. The city looked like something you would find in the mid-west, old two-story buildings. We were at a cross-walk waiting for the light to turn. Kitty-corner from where we were standing there was a used car lot.

In the used car lot there was a man holding a bunch of dogs on leashes. All of a sudden he let all the dogs go. The dogs started to run all over the place. People started to catch the dogs, including me and Jeff. Jeff grabbed a leash that had two dogs attached. One dog was black German Sheppard and the other was a Staffordshire terrier. The Staffordshire terrier was white, cute and had butterscotch colored freckles all over its muzzle.

I caught three dogs, one large white dog and two small dogs. One of the small dogs was a Chihuahua and the other was a Puggle. It was very cute. It had a big bell-shaped head. I wanted to keep it even thought it was a smaller dog.

Jeff and I were kicking back on a grassy knoll with the dogs. I was petting the dogs and I looked over across the street to an open garage. There was a person lying on top of the hood of a car. I could only see their legs. The person was dead. There were a bunch of flies buzzing about. The corpse looked like it belonged to a young black male, about the 14 years of age. The pants were a power blue denim, 70’s style.

Bull Frogs

Jeff and I were walking into a convenience store. We were going to buy some beer for the Super Bowl. Chelle and Nica were in the store. They both had giant bull frog in their hands. They placed the frogs in the store’s refrigerator. I yelled out to them, “Hey, that frog is going to piss and shit all over the beer”.

The Desert, Old Trucks & Naked Men

I was driving in a vehicle with Jeff. The surroundings were desert-like. Expansive and flat yet surrounded by mountains. I was in the passenger seat. I looked over to a large dirt lot that had a lot of old Chevy and Ford Trucks. I turned to Jeff and said, “I want one of those old trucks”.

I walked over to the trucks. There was one truck in a carport like structure. The walls were old wood and sheet metal. I opened the door to the truck that was in the carport. The cab of the truck had a twin-size mattress. I sat on the mattress and thought it would be a great vehicle for a road trip.

I jumped out of the truck and then suddenly, there were a bunch of naked men running towards me. I was no longer near the truck with the mattress, but in the middle of the dirt field. I had a stick the size of a broom in my hand. I was using it to whack the naked guys out of the way.

Why Write Down My Dreams?

I’ve always had very vivid dreams. They are usually very detailed and I often have more than one dream a night. For the most part, I wake up remembering my dreams. Last year, I decided to start jotting them down. I keep a pen and a note pad on the side of my bed for that purpose. I've discovered that even if I write down a few details, those details will jog my memory and I can then write out the details of the dream in the morning. There have been times when I’ve told myself, “Yeah, I’ll remember that--it was so unusual. No way I’ll forget this!" No such luck, 99% of the time if I go back to sleep, poof -- it's gone. I might recall a randon detail, but it's keys and hot lava at that point.

Why write my dreams down? Why Not? What do these dreams mean anyhow? How the hell should I know? I guess there will be someone out there who will read them, analyze them and determine I'm a freak or a closet serial killer ready to pop.

For purposes of the blog, if I dream about someone I know (with the exception of my boyfriend, Jeff), I won’t use their real names. I'm going to use random names. Why embarrass myself or the innocent.

I find the subconscious mind fascinating. I seem to work-out my problems in my dreams. Other times, I find that it’s a reflection of how I’m feeling. I guess that's where some of my nightmares come to play.

In any event, I just started this blog, but I do have at least a years worth of dreams to post so I decided to add them a few at a time.

Mahalo!
